  • In -person Workshop in Northern Westchester County, NY. on meets on Mondays at noon.
  • TeleWorkshop meets as a conference call on Wednesdays at noon. You can join this workshop from anywhere in the world.​ 
​Why join a writing workshop? ​A writing workshop can be an inspiring, joyful experience and one that supports your development as a writer... Or it can be a devastating one where your imagination shrinks in the face of criticism and competition, which is why I allow no competition in my workshops. I believe nothing kills creativity faster than criticism. Good critiquing leaves you inspired, not deflated. ​

My supportive, interactive workshops are for anyone wanting to develop as a fiction writer in an inspiring teaching environment. And we have a lot of fun, too! We watch the characters, stories, and writing develop week-by-week. Reading first draft material is always encouraged.  ​
​​​​I have been holding fiction writing workshops for over thirty years, and have helped hundreds of people develop as writers. Some who had never written before, have gone on to complete novels! ​

​Workshops are limited to five participants. We do not write our stories in class; rather you write at home, and read in class. During each workshop, we have a lively conversation that includes my input as well as that of others in the class; your characters, plot, voice and much more are explored weekly. In this way, other workshop members are fed by your growth just as you are fed by theirs. ​

​Workshops in Westchester County, NY and as a TeleWorkshop run in ten week sessions: $500 for ten weeks.
